TOXOPLASMOSIS takes its title from the parasite associated with cats, and the condition of influence it produces. Used here as a metaphor, it describes the attachment cat owners insist is mutual. Cats enter lives quietly, stay indefinitely, and eventually take charge. If you have a cat, you'll know what I mean.
The exhibition brings together a varied assembly of local and international artists, alongside antique artworks, Presented in a dense salon-style installation. each artwork was shaped in some way by feline influence. TOGETHER the works SHOWCASE distinct personalities, Some watchful, Some indifferent. ALL CATS.
