RIVET, heavy cargo shorts

Lots of provenance for this piece. From the v1 camos to the v2 camos, I wanted to create a pair that’s more neutral for daily wear.

I found this really nice 14oz black canvas and felt that it would be perfect for a pair of shorts. I wanted to elevate the shorts with details that enhances not only the construction, but also the aesthetic of it:

+ Tokonoma hardware
+ Tone embroidery
+ YKK zippers
+ Raw edge seam

I added 2cm to the length in comparison to the v2 camos because I enjoy the look of the shorts when the hem is folded up once.

For friends who prefer a clean fit, cutting the hem of the shorts to preference is possible as it is a raw edge seam.

The cut takes cues from the utility of carpenter pants. We made it wider in the leg, raw at the hem. with large pockets. When I say large I mean huge. The side pockets can fit an iPad mini. Or an oatside 1L pack. Or 3 cans of ayataka. Finished with utility side pockets and contrast panels for movement.

Branded throughout with custom TOKONOMA hardware — engraved rivets, metal shank button, and YKK zippers for the fly and pockets. Tonal embroidery and a debossed back patch completes the piece.

*We recommend a true-to-size fit as the twill canvas fabric may stretch up to half an inch with wear.

Machine wash cold, inside out. Hang dry.
Fabric will age and fade over time, wear often.
