Tokonoma x Hypebeast, for Hypebeast Cup 2026 (Edition of 100)

What if I could make a t-shirt look exactly like a jersey? That was the question I asked myself when Hypebeast approached us to conceptualise this collaboration for World Cup.

Using trompe l’oeil as a technique to create the optical illusion that a cotton t-shirt is actually a jersey, this was one of the most technically demanding products we have created.

From scanning a jersey to matching the patterns panel-to-panel, we decided with a grayscale “photocopied” look that most fits the Tokonoma visual language.

Paired with a custom collaboration-exclusive woven tag, this t-shirt is produced in a limited run of 100 with no restocks.

Joash is 175cm and 70kg. His true size is L and wears an XL for an oversized fit.
Ken is 175cm and 60kg. He wears a size L for a slightly oversized fit.
Shin is 165cm and 40kg. She wears a size S and it fits her just right.
